You really expect me to write about this absolutely horrid weekend? Yeah, not bloody likely.

I like yesterday’s win and hope this is a sign the Rays are starting to “break out”. On the down side, blowouts of this nature tend to keep the batting stats up and hide the lack of hitting that has impacted the Win/Loss column results. The starters…beginning the Sonny tonight…and the hitters need to get into a groove and perform consistently. Longo is a monster and has MVP potential if the Rays could make it to the playoffs…but they will not get there if they keep playing sub.400 ball.

Its Saturday and top of the 7th inning. The Rays are playing like the Rays of 2007. Sad, very sad. Way too many walks, hit batters, errors, pitchers who cannot find the plate with a map and flashlight, etc. Jeez. Give me a break. Navy cannot hit anything at all and Upton looks like a cow at a slaughterhouse. Someone please call for a miracle.

Scott, I hope you’re okay. I’m looking forward to your return. Joe, if you need me to I can try to fill in as much as possible. I did it once before 2 years ago for you. I can try to do it again. I know a lot of people like reading the website.
