Evan Longoira. Rocco Baldelli. Willy Aybar. Matt Garza, David Price. Matt Garza had his best start all season. David Price finished off the job and got the Rays the American League pennant. The Rays have done it! The Rays beat the Red Sox in game 7 of the American League Championship Series in 2008 3 – 1. The Rays win the ALCS 4 games to 3 and are going to be in the World Series against the Phildephia Phillies!
FEEL THE HEAT RAYS! THEY DID IT! THEY DID IT! THEY DID IT!

A very entertaining game tonight. Great job. Was looking to see if any merchandise was out yet and came across these. People are on top of things, lol. Just ordered one of each and one for my wife. Hope you all enjoy.
They can be found at CafePress.com and this seller had some good stuff.

Gonna be a fun series. No one would have predicted these two teams in the World Series at the beginning of the year. I wonder how many people put money down at the sports book for the long shot bet.

Great game last nite. Have always said this team was very resiliant (spelling?). Now the Phils and every one is picking them, when will these people learn. Just goes to show, most so called sports writers or commentators don’t know Jack shxx about baseball. Not to be planning ahead but can you see a pitching staff with Garza, sandwiched between Price and Kazmir and then you bring on the bull dog Sonny. Scares you doesn’t it.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Unbelievable.
Garza was fantastic. Pitch for pitch, he matched Lester and gave the Rays the confidence and opportunity to win last night’s game. Even though BJ Upton was locked in all series and hit 4 HRs, there is nobody more deserving of the M.V.P award than Garza.
And how about David Price? After watching that first slider, I would not have wanted anyone else in that situation. Downright filthy.
And even though, I just mentioned three players, at the end of the day, it was a total team effort to win this series. From Sonny winning game four, to Willy Aybar’s clutch hits, to Aki, to Wheeler, to Perez pinch running, to Rocco… to the obvious Upton, Longo and Pena, everyone contributed. Can’t say enough about the job Joe Maddon has done.

Rays remind me of the Detroit Tigers. Enjoy this year while you can. RedSox were banged up and the loss of Lowell hurt their chances. The Rays will be just like the other young dynasty teams Tigers and Indians. What happened to them? Win a world series before you wave bye to Boston.
