Rays of Light

Kazmir had a bit of a rough start with a 37 pitch first inning. Kaz settled down for just a little over 5 innings of baseball.  Balfour, Howell and Bradford then came in and gave up 4 hits but zero runs. The White Sox could only get two off of Kazmir in the Top of the 1st inning. And then Aki had his 2 run dinger in the 5th inning of off Buehrle with 1 on and 1 out to give the Rays the tying run and the go ahead run. From then on…it was all Rays. There was even a dramatic double play that Aki was apart of also in the 9th. That Longoria-Iwamura-Aybar DP helped the Rays hold on to win against the White Sox 6 to 2.  What a game! Baldelli & Navarro both had 2 out RBI’s. BJ Upton even had a triple. And the Rays only left 5 men on base while the White Sox left 12.

And the final call of the game sounded so good, “Outside corner, strike three called, Rays win game 2!”

The Rays can do it Sunday in Chicago. They can win the ALDS!

I know I’ll be rooting for them tomorrow.

Glad you mentioned that DP. It was a thing of beauty.

the middle defense has been stellar this year, as has been the improved bullpen – which had caused us all ulcers and to drink heavily last year!
