Buffalo 8, Durham 7
Jeff Niemann got lit up for 5 runs in 4 2/3 innings, but the most troubling part of it was the 6 walks he allowed. One bad performance certainly doesn’t erase all of the good strides he has made this season, but it could at least give other teams pause if they are looking at him as a possible addition via trade. Justin Ruggiano continues to make his push to take Jonny Gomes’ spot on the big league roster, going 3-for-4 with 2 doubles while Reid Brignac had 3 RBI.
Montgomery 2, Huntsville 1 (Game 1)
6 innings of 1-run, 9-strikeout ball by Jeremy Hellickson was enough to take this game to extra innings, where Chris Nowak homered in the top of the 8th to give the Biscuits the win. Rocco Baldelli was 1-for-4 with a double.
Montgomery 4, Huntsville 2 (Game 2)
Rashad Eldridge and Ronnie Merrill each had 2 hits a piece, and Steve Andrade gave the Biscuits three shutout innings to help pick up the doubleheader sweep.

Ryan Morse scattered 7 hits over 5 innings, allowing just 1 earned run while Matthew Fields knocked home three to help the V-Rays to another win.
Columbus 6, Augusta 4
Stephen Vogt had 3 hits and Gregory Sexton knocked in 3 runs, while Jeremy Hall went 6 1/3 innings allowing just 3 runs. Kevin Boggan threw 3 wild pitches in just 1 2/3 innings pitched.
Hudson Valley 7, Tri-City 3
