I mentioned last week that I was not concerned in the least about a couple of shaky outings thus far from Wade Davis. Well, last night the big right-hander showed what he is capable of when he is on his game. Davis threw 7.0 shutout innings for the Biscuits and faced only one batter above the minimum. He allowed only three hits on the night, while striking out four and issuing only one free pass.
James Houser, who has pitched 16.2 consecutive scoreless innings, will take the mound for Montgomery tonight
