I noticed the Brignac comment as well and wonder whether it results from comparison to generally poor defensive infielders in the system or to Brignac's improvement so that he is now a plus defender. Ballew listed Brignac as our "best defensive infielder" while also saying that Fernando Perez is faster than Desmond Jennings.
