Saturday and Sunday are slow days around here. Because of that, we’ll more than likely be bringing you simple things like videos, pictures, and lots of links. Enjoy the first installment with the Rays mascot dancing the PB&J dance.

Looks like Huff will finally get his deal, with the Orioles no less. The Rays will see him a lot during the coming years, given the amount of division games they will have. Speculation is that he will be a corner outfielder (right field?) for the Birds.
I wish him well there, but I am a believer that the move was for the best for the Rays. While Aubrey had a couple of good hitting years with the Rays - especially difficult in the big loss years in which he played - I was increasingly bothered by his negative attitude. Yes, it is difficult to play hard for a perennial loser of a team which (then) had poor ownership and front office. Professionals, however, play to win each game and his carping began dragging the team down.
I hope the change of scenery does him good…but hope the Rays win more and drop the Orioles to the cellar!

Before going out to enjoy the New Year festivities, I would like to with all of you the very best. I also look forward to Spring Training and the Rays’ 2007 season, which will likely be highlighted by surprises, emerging stars and hot baserunning! Regards to all and Happy New Years.

What is with the Brendan Harris trade? Do the Rays need yet another infielder?
I have to wonder if this is a pickup in advance of a trade of Tomas Perez or Jorge Cantu, as Brendan’s primary position is 2B. He did, however, also start training to catch!!
