Respect 90 – Hustle

Fans do not usually get the inside scoop as to why players were pulled during the course of a game. What is a strategic decision? Was it because of getting hurt? What was made public this past weekend during the Cubs Convention is that every player will respect the Cubs Way. If following these guidelines are too tough for players to handle, they may just find themselves riding the pine.

What does an 8 year/184 million dollar contract get you? With that money one would think high productivity in both the field and at the plate. 2016 was not a good start to Jason Heyward’s career with the Chicago Cubs. Is this what the Cubs will get with the remaining time invested? Let’s hope not.

The Phrase That Makes Us All Feel So Much Better

Since I started following the Cubs in ’84 the phrase has always been “Wait Until Next Year”. Life’s struggles would occur and this black cloud of a phrase would linger over my head. With the World Series being accomplished a new phrase has made the daily struggles a little bit more bearable. And it makes me smile even in the midst of everything else that is going on.
