Fantastic, Sherm!

Make sure when the record companies come a'callin you ask for a multi-year high-end contract with a full no-trade clause and suites on all road trips.

I feel very fortunate that this game was not televised in my area. Insofar as LaTroy Gregg, let's DFA him and bring Gaub up. He can take Grabow's spot as the lefty specialist and Grabow can share closes with Guzman till the end of the season.

Outstanding Sherm! Totally dig the Pink Houses angle, maybe we should sign John Cougar to close.

This team is buried. What we feared in the offseason when Hendry signed Milton, Single A ron and traded DeRosa has proved to be true.

Gregging Greg I thought could work out, I wasn't up for signing Wood at $10M. But alas, Gregging Gregg is dog Gregg. I have never seen a guy blow so many saves after having 2 outs. He gave up 4 runs after 2 outs and no one on in Florida and again last night. That has to be some kind of record.

Angel Guzman is the best they have in the bullpen. They should make Harden a closer but he probably doesn't want to, he will probably go and try out the FA market as a starter.

I am physically ill from watching this team.

Yeah, perhaps not, but I’m 25 yrs older than these guys.

I have a better idea. Let's see how many time AAron can hit off a pitching machine.

This off season was not his best, perhaps his worst, perhaps a total gregging nightmare.

Can he be completely faulted for players under achieving?

Most Cub signings have been of someone who was on the higher end of successful. True, most declined after becoming one of us, but they had a good track record.

I'd say the same rings true this year.

I’ve had more than that in a week of fantasy camp on more than one occasion. Of course the machine Randy uses looks and pitches like Kevin Gregging Gregg.

Wait, you don't even face real arms? You can't even compare it then.

Well finally something to talk about.
Gregging Gregg.
I've been a fan of Jim Hendry's reign. But probably colored by the fact he was the Baseball coach at Creighton when I was a medical student there in the 80's. This off season was not his best, perhaps his worst, perhaps a total gregging nightmare. What the Gregg was he thinking. Kevin Gregging Gregg. ...Most Cub signings have been of someone who was on the higher end of successful. True, most declined after becoming one of us, but they had a good track record. Gregging Gregg was a mediocre set up man in closers clothing(don't give me any stats, I don't give a rats Gregg). I best remembered him as the guy who soft served up a 3 run dinger to the Cubs in '08 to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. I know Jim thought Wood had little left in his tank, and may have been correct, but I would take Kerry back in an instant because he had heart. Gregging Gregg looks like he could care less that he gave up the lead, (and still had a job to do).
I was fortunate enough to catch only the last 1 1/2 innings last night and other than impending doom after the Eckstein walk, I noted that along with Aron (merit based number of As) Miles stellar view of the mendoza line from beneath, he has 26 hits all Gregging season (At least that's what the Petco scoreboard said). I've had more than that in a week of fantasy camp on more than one occasion. Of course the machine Randy uses looks and pitches like Kevin Gregging Gregg.
Neither of these guys had a track record of success (with out batting in front of PooHoles), so, What the Gregg?

What to do now? I saw Lou on ESPN this morning saying there were going to be some changes, I'm not sure what options are open, but I'll be in favor of all of them. Even Marmol, who looked mediocre, but at least not awful last night. DFA Gregging gregg, Or trade him with a prospect or 2 and a lot of cash for Kerry Wood.
