I hate picking the playoffs because they’re such a crapshoot, but here goes
Round 1 Winners – Chicago & Arizona / New York & Los Angeles
Round 2 Winners – Arizona / New York
World Series Winner – New York Yankees

Ya got the Mets in second and fifth Joe, I assume you meant Washington for fifth. I see the Sox winning the AL Central again with CLE, MIN, DET and KC following up, AL East is okay except I’d flip-flop BOS and TB.
In the NL East I like NYM, PHI, ATL, FLA then WAS. The NL Central looks good, in the NL West I’d go with LAD, ARI, COL, SF and SD. Poor Padres! Shame I can’t feel sorry for them, I’m still sore from when Garvey and the Pads knocked the Cubs out.
Wow — same picks as my grandson made. And he’s 21 months old.
I’ll tell you the same thing I told him — “You’re nuts.”
Detroit? Only if they can score 14 runs a game. The White Sox should win their division fairly easily. Watch KC, as they are much improved.
Yankees? They might not even make the playoffs. They sure as hell won’t win that division.
The Braves will take fourth in their division — behind everyone except Adam and the Dunnettes. Florida will be the sleeper…the Mets are the favorite.
You may have gotten three division winners right, but I wouldn’t bet on Arizona over the Dodgers. And Colorado might sneak in there if Jason Marquis can go 29 – 1.

Sherm,
Every year I try to pick the best teams on paper. This year I decided to play some hunches. I agree with you a lot of Florida, but I couldn’t bring myself to pick them. The Yankees have a pretty darn good starting staff and they’re slowing ridding themselves of those old bad players.
Florida has pitching out the yin yang – six quality starters. But, as always they have issues with their position players (Bonafacio at third, rookie Maybin in center and Baker at C) and bench (zero pinch-hitting power.) Nonetheless, good pitching can beat good hitting!
