Topics Discussed:

  • Derrek Lee’s DP troubles
  • Showboating at the plate
  • Chris Volstad’s lack of diversity in his pitch selection
  • Questionable decisions by the Marlins

I guess I can see how you would say that Dempster did not pitch a great game, but he pitched great when he had to.

    That’s great enough for me.

Joe…Enjoyed your first podcast very much here in my home in Nagoya, Japan on Monday morning. (We are a day ahead of you)…I appreciated your honest comments and agreed with most everything. I was happy to see that you weren’t afraid to criticize D. Lee for his lack of clutch hitting and hitting way too many double plays. I agree with you that he is no longer a 3rd place hitter. Although he is still a great defensive 1st baseman, I believe his offense skills have diminished considerably over the past two or three years…Please continue your honest appraisals.

Sounds good Joe. I like that I can listen to the show inside of Google Reader.

I am an audio guy so I gotta admit the sound is nasty! I am not sure what you are using for the audio recording, but it sounds like a phone. But hey, I can hear what you are saying. So if that is a budget issue, I can deal… If you want any tips for better audio I am there for you. But ultimately you rock as a summation broadcaster for the Cubs! Can’t debate your observations. Keep it up!!!
