Speaking of classy … reminds me of Carlos Zambrano beating the crap out of Michael Barrett last year.

No... that wasn't classy either.

But at least LouPa, last year, didn't say, "If your neighbors are fighting, leave them alone."

That would be major accomplishment for Cubs fans, coming in 2nd.

You are right... it would be a major accomplishment.

Of course... the Brewers should try just getting to the playoffs. That, too, would be a major accomplishment.

Come on... lets be honest - both of these franchises have sucked for a long time. But the Cubs are on track to be in the playoffs 3 times in the six years, which is better than most teams in baseball, and much better than the Brewers! :)

Speaking of classy ... reminds me of Carlos Zambrano beating the crap out of Michael Barrett last year.

Bottom line the Cubs haven't won a World Series in 99 years so it makes sense that fans would want to rip on the Brewers for never winning one. But the Cubs have a 60 year head start ... so if the Brewers go another 6 decades without winning a championship and the Cubs win this year ...then the two franchises would be equal losers.

But first things first ... the Cubs should try just getting to the World Series. That would be major accomplishment for Cubs fans, coming in 2nd.

He might have been involved in that scuffle last year, too. This team is unravelling, and if they have gone all in and fail to get out of the first round, it's time to give Yost a pink slip.

Well said, Rob. And between you and I it is good natured, Buddy. And Tom C., that was noted on yesterday's VFTB post, including by me.

Peace, y'all!

I think it is so ridiculous to say "this is a Cubs site" so keep your Brewers stuff somewhere else. This is a website and people come here to read and discuss. We can take the back and forth as long as it stays within the bounds it should stay within.
I am a Cubs fan and sometimes I do get a chance to write. As I said in my last post I was at two of the games last week in Milwaukee and it was great. The atmosphere was good natured. The people are genuinely friendly until imbibed like the bonehead sitting to the side of me who kept doing "wanking" gestures to the Cubs fans sitting behind him. And the rivalry is fun but I fear it will not stay that way. I really hope it does.
OK so I must admit, the most clueless comment as I can see it came from the Cub fan who said the thing about the problem the packers have is figuring out what to do with their Hall of Fame quarterback. PLEASE GIVE THE BEARS THAT PROBLEM IN MY LIFETIME. I would like to have a quarterback who is going to be a clear hall of famer. I would like the decades of winning and the multiple Super Bowls and NFC Championship games. I would like the guy who would be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL year after year. So if say miraculously Orton or Grossman become a Hall of Fame type quarterback, I would not mind having the issue the Packers are facing right now. It astounds me that we would be making fun of it. It is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
Poor, sad, lonely Bears quarterbacks.

51 posts and yet no one recognized the pure genius of posting 'The Top 9.' Allow me to offer a hint to my aforementioned statement: How many times is everyone popping back to this site to check this comment board?

Jose--I came to this site to defend attacks on my hometown. Are you seriously suggesting that no one but Cubs fans should come to this blog? Because I want people to come to the Packers blog, and if we wrote something denigrating Chicago, I would expect someone to fire back.
I also enjoy reading blogs of other teams, and do not intend to stop.
Of course you are ALLOWED to post anything, but that doesn't mean you should. I don't think it speaks well of someone to disrespect another, and don't expect to get respect if you do.
