I’m seriously not thrilled with the new attitude being displayed lately. We’re all allowed to have opinions, but let’s do it constructively.

I just noticed that you put this up. I think the only commandments that I’ll have a problem adhering to are #’s 2,3,4,6,7… maybe 8, and definitely 10.

Wow, I get to post these twice in one day. Take note people. Some of you have been warned before. Let’s try and keep these civil.

I. Thou Shall Not Use Profanity
II. Thou Shall Not personally attack other commenters
III. Thou Shall Not bait other commenters
IV. Thou Shall Not argue for the sake of arguing
V. Thou Shall Not discuss politics
VI. Thou Shall Not use hyperbole when something less will suffice
VII. Thou Shall Not use sarcasm in a way that can be misinterpreted negatively
VIII. Thou Shall Not make the same point over and over again
IX. Thou Shall Not type “no-hitter” to describe any no-hitter in progress
X. Thou Shall Not be annoyed by the existence of this list

Joe,

I got a suggestion…..you need to add an 11th Commandment to the site:

XI – Those young Cubs players who have not been selected as an All-Star nor shown signs of brilliance and who have not maintained at least a .300 average nor had a game winning hit withing the first 4 games of any season shall for the remainder of the season be banished to riding the pine, or shall be demoted to the minors…..which ever appeases Cubs fans the most.

Jerious, you’re argument is weak and lacks cogency. You’re comparing All-Stars like Fonzi, Lee, and A-Ram to…Pie? Gimme a break! I’ll give you The Riot but you have got to come up with something better than that! Soto? This guy has serious power, makes contact, and most importantly, HAS shown flashes of brilliance!

Jerious, you’re writing is weak and so are your attempts at personal attacks…lol. BTW, I’m actually 15 yo. and I’ve been watching baseball for 3 yrs.

Jerious: “Clearly the reason we lose this game is because of a lack of defense”. Not according to Lou. In his postgame interview, he was frustrated at the lack of OFFENSE and stated the we NEED to score 5-6 runs to win on a regular basis. Yes, we made defensive gaffes but bottom line is, we ain’t gonna win games scoring 2-3 runs.

Jerious and Joe…Have you guys been going to the Cheney-Rumsfeld School of Reality? Don’t worry, everything will be fine?

And as another poster mentioned, Pie has shown no flashes of brilliance or potential that warrants us starting him and grooming him.
