No one can figure out the Dbacks. They were the worst-hitting team in the National League in an up-for-grabs division and still went on to win 90 games and sweep the Cubs en route to the NLCS. Were those the “real” Diamondbacks?

“The Pitch” hosts Joe Aiello and Brandon Rosage offer their perspective on the relatively unchanged lineup — with the exception of rotation-bolstering Dan Haren — and welcome perspective from AZ Snakepit’s Jim McLennan on the ability of Chris Young to power the offense again as a sophomore, Randy Johnson’s ability to contribute and Arizona’s overall ability to hang with very good NL West clubs from San Diego, Colorado and Los Angeles.
