Scouting Report on todays starters from
David Bush – Bush picked up the win in relief on Wednesday, tossing two scoreless innings before Damian Miller delivered a game-winning, 11th-inning home run to beat the Astros at Miller Park that capped an 8-1 homestand. Bush was pushed back two days for this start so Yovani Gallardo and Ben Sheets could stay on regular rest, but he still gets to pitch at Wrigley Field, where Bush has a 3.15 ERA in three career starts.

Jason Marquis – Marquis pitched better in his last start but didn’t last long enough for the win. He hasn’t picked up a “W” since May 9. In his last start against the Rockies, the right-hander gave up three runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings, and was pulled after 97 pitches. He was 3-1 with a 2.35 ERA in April, and needs to find what worked again.
