Scouting Report on todays starters from MLB.com
Ben Sheets – Sheets continues to make a strong case for his inclusion in the 2007 All-Star Game. The right-hander pitched six innings of one-run ball in a 6-1 win over the Astros his last time out, allowing five hits and three walks and striking out five. In his past 13 starts, Sheets has gone 8-1 with a 2.41 ERA.
Sean Marshall – Marshall is coming off a win over the White Sox, tossing 6 1/3 scoreless innings while yielding just five hits. It was encouraging after he struggled a bit against the Rangers on June 19, lasting four innings in his only non-quality start this season. Marshall is 2-1 with a 2.14 ERA in three starts at Wrigley and has yet to face the Brewers this year. Last season, he was 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in one start against Milwaukee.
