wbc_logo1Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports poses an interesting theory as to why some starting pitchers have struggled thus far. Tho he doesn’t name Carlos Zambrano by name, the case could be made that he was affected by his participation in the World Baseball Classic. Passan’s statistics three weeks into the season don’t lie. We must figure in the fourth week ourselves. Well, Zambrano’s numbers only furthur support the theory that much more. How about the others? I don’t have the time to thoroughly research the figures but someone else might. It should be interesting.
