For some reason as I write this, all I hear is my head is the theme from Welcome Back Kotter. That could be due to the fact that I haven’t done a thing on here for almost a week and a half. I have a few things to say today.

First, I would like to comment on the trade Hendry worked out today. I don’t like it. It seems to me that if we have an excess of young, quality arms, like we do, why not trade them for someone other than a young arm? Why would you trade Cruz because we do not have a place for him and get another kid we don’t have a place for? I feel like Hendry kind of dropped the ball here. Cruz should have commanded more in return. Why not give him a chance to start the year in the rotation until Prior returns? By doing this we could have increased his trade value if Cruz were to do well. I don’t know, I just feel like we should have got more in return. I was actually surprised to see that a lot of people did not write about this trade today. Let me know what you all think.
