Just Kidding About Yesterday’s Title

Written by , Posted in General

On again, off again offense continues to hamper the Cubs as they continue to find that allusive winning streak that will separate them from the rest of the NL Central. Leaving runners on base will get this team no where and has been the same thing that has hampered them since the playoffs last year.

Uehara Be Kidding Me!

The San Diego Padres are world beaters…at least to the Cubs. No momentum can be sustained with this team as someone on this ball club can’t seem to step up to the plate when the team needs it the most. Chicago Cubs…the bulls eye is square on your back and not going away anytime soon. Realize that and play good baseball.

Chicago Lelands 9 Pittsburgh Grays 5

The Cubs and Pirates played a throw back game on Friday night in tribute to the Negro Leagues. Sticking with the throw back fashion, we saw things occur that we came to love (or hate) in past years. But the Cubs were winners and that is what counts.

Capitalization is Key

The Cubs put themselves in a situation again on Friday that gave them a chance for a W. Instead, failing to capitalize on the opportunities given to them put the game in the L column. Prepping myself for the worst is starting to creep into my thought pattern as the season trugs along.

By God We Won!

We can win! We can come from behind to win! But we cannot put a win streak together. We can put a losing streak together though. Oh well, baby steps. Ugh.
